I love taking photos. Mainly of my daughter and my garden, and I tend to take a lot of them, just ask anyone who knows me. Up until now, I have just carried around my little digital point and shoot and snapped away, hoping to get at least a couple of good ones.

However, we just got ourselves a nice new Nikon D60 Digital SLR. The last time I used an SLR was in college when I did year 11 photography. I learnt the basics but have since forgot it all, so the plan is to re-learn what I learnt then and then learn some more.

Then after I learn those bits, the plan is to try and take some good photos. Preferably with the aim of getting good ones everytime I take a photo, rather than just snapping 50 pictures with the hope of fluking a good one.

Thats the plan anyway…
